Welcome to TropStory (“we,” “us,” or “our”). TropStory is a storytelling website featuring short stories and ongoing stories.
We respect your privacy and aim to keep the website simple and privacy-friendly. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you visit and use TropStory.
1. Information We Collect
TropStory does not require visitors to create an account, register, submit stories, or provide personal information simply to read stories.
When you visit the website, some technical information may nevertheless be processed automatically by the services used to operate, secure, and improve the website. This may include:

TropStory is hosted by Hostinger.
Hostinger may process technical information associated with visitors’ requests in order to provide hosting, security, reliability, and related website infrastructure. We do not use hosting information to create personal profiles of visitors.
TropStory also uses Hostinger’s built-in website tools, including backup and site management features, to maintain and back up the website. These tools operate on website content and configuration and are not used by TropStory to track individual visitors.
3. Fonts
TropStory may load fonts from Google Fonts to display text correctly. Loading these fonts may involve a technical request to Google’s servers, which may process information such as your IP address as part of delivering the font file.
This request happens as part of normal font loading and is not used by TropStory to build a personal profile of visitors.
4. Analytics
TropStory uses analytics tools to understand general website usage and improve the website. We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles of individual visitors, and we do not sell analytics data.
Independent Analytics
TropStory uses Independent Analytics, a self-hosted WordPress analytics tool, to understand general website traffic and usage — for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors generally interact with the website.
Independent Analytics is designed to minimize tracking and is used by TropStory for its own website analytics.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
TropStory also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is a privacy-focused analytics service that does not rely on tracking cookies to measure website traffic and performance.
5. Google Search Console
TropStory uses Google Search Console to monitor the website’s presence and performance in Google Search, including search queries, search visibility, indexing, and general website performance.
Google Search Console is a webmaster tool, not a visitor account or registration system on TropStory, and does not directly interact with visitors browsing the site.
6. Email Marketing (Currently Inactive)
TropStory has installed Hostinger Reach, an email marketing tool, for potential future use, such as an optional newsletter signup.
At this time, TropStory does not operate any active subscription form, and no visitor email addresses are being collected through this tool.
If TropStory introduces a newsletter or subscription feature in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe what information is collected, how it is used, and how you can unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
TropStory may use cookies or similar technologies for technical purposes, website functionality, security, analytics, or remembering certain settings.
Some cookies or storage mechanisms may only appear when using the WordPress administration area and are not used for, or visible to, ordinary public visitors.
We aim to keep the use of cookies to a minimum and do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of visitors.

8. Website Functionality and Maintenance
TropStory uses WordPress and various website tools to provide story content, maintain the website, improve performance, manage backups, support search-engine optimization, and manage privacy and cookie preferences.
These tools primarily operate on website content, design, administration, performance, and maintenance. They are not generally used by TropStory to collect personal information from ordinary visitors reading stories.
Services that may interact with visitor-related technical information, such as hosting, analytics, and external resources, are described in the relevant sections of this Privacy Policy.
9. Comments, Accounts, and Story Submissions
TropStory currently does not provide:
- Visitor accounts or registration
- Public comments
- A visitor story-submission system
- Contact forms
As a result, visitors are not required to provide personal information to read stories or use the website.

TropStory may contain links to external websites, including social media platforms or other third-party websites.
When you leave TropStory and visit an external website, that website’s own privacy policy and practices apply.

TropStory is a general-audience storytelling platform. The stories published on TropStory are created for a general readership and are not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
Parents and guardians should use their own judgment when allowing minors to access or read content on the website, as individual stories may contain themes, suspense, or situations intended for mature audiences.
TropStory does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
